I Would Add One More

On Logo’s website NewNowNext they have a post about trans actors and I would add one more trans actress to their twelve actors. The article is from 2015 but I just found it posted on Facebook.
12 Transgender Actors To Watch
Remember their names, Hollywood.

The amazing success of Laverne Cox is a reminder that transgender performers are here, they’re talented, and their experiences need to be reflected on the large and small screen.

Too often trans actors don’t even get to portray their own community, losing out parts to cisgender actors who reap the benefits come awards season. Below are 12 trans actors we want to see hit it big.
Some of the actresses/actors that they list are;
1. Mya Taylor
Taylor made a big impact with her performance in Tangerine, as well as appearing as LGBT pioneer Marsha P. Johnson in the short film Happy Birthday Marsha! about Johnson and fellow activist Sylvia Rivera.

5. Jamie Clayton
Clayton, who co-hosted VH1’s TRANSform Me with Laverne Cox, was one of our favorite parts of Sense8, Netflix’s acclaimed sci-fi series from trans siblings Lana and Lily Wachowski.
More recently she’s appeared in The Neon Demon and the 2017 thriller The Snowman.

7. Elliot Fletcher
Fletcher had recurring roles on MTV’s Faking It and Freeform’s The Fosters, as well as the first trans character on Showtime’s Shameless.
And my favorite…
9. Michelle Hendley
Hendley made her film debut in the romantic comedy Boy Meets Girl, and has made appearances on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and in the 2015 film The Player.
My nomination is Rachel Crowl who starred in And Then There Was Eve; but I’m a little biased because I know her and her wife. Her bio on IMDB is,
Rachel Crowl is an actor, musician, and photographer living in Los Angeles, California. In a former life she was highly active Off-Broadway, playing roles as diverse as Henry in Henry V, Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest, Macheath in Threepenny Opera, and Estragon in Waiting for Godot among others. The LA Film Festival winning And Then There Was Eve is her screen debut.
Then there are the stars from Her Story.

So when you hear people say there are no good trans actors show them this list.
