Interesting! Is There A Double Standard For Us?

I came across an interesting article posted on Facebook about trans people and the gender binary. The post was on TMP (TransMusePlanet) Forum, it asked
As we enter a sort of trans renaissance of visibility in 2015, we see the rise of our male counterparts take center stage as never before. This is a major plus for various reason, one I've noticed is the discussion of male privilege and the aged old debate of male vs. female double standards. It seems our community is full of double standards.
I feel that the guys do have it easier in some ways because of “male privilege,” they gain privilege and we lose privilege. Also I think they can integrate in to society better, testosterone is so powerful in creating male secondary characteristics. There bread starts to grow, they get body hair, their voice deepens, they get an “Adam’s Apple,” and for many they start going bald.

While for trans women estrogen doesn’t do much, their breast grows, fat relocates around the body, and their skin gets softer, but that’s about it. Our male voice doesn’t change, we don’t lose beards, and we don’t lose our “Adam’s Apple.”

One of the things that I have noticed is that most of the trans men that know have beards or some type of facial hair. Another observation is that a lot of them go in for body building and tattoos, kind of like hyper masculine images.

So what do you think?
