Volunteering

I volunteered to help out two day a week for four hours each at a local health collective. The nurse is leaving and she handled trans-issues there, and they thought I would be good at taking over for her advocating for trans-clients. So I am scheduled to talk to my first client today. Yesterday I was doing some busy work when the phone rang and I stared at it wondering if it was for me. One of the other employees came in to my office and said it was for me.

Wow! For me! So today a trans-man is going to come to talk to me about transitioning; I can’t give her medical information but I can help her find an endocrinologist, a therapist and navigation the paperwork juungle.
